Minutes from Climate committee meeting January 23, 2008

There was a discussion of means by which music could be added to the school day outside of the classroom.  It was identified that music being played during passing time would be a potential disruption of the teaching day in  tech programs.  For many of these programs passing time would occur during instructional time.  All members of the committee felt that that would be an inappropriate disruption.  Ideas are still being pursued as to other ways to introduce music into the school day.

Discussion was held on the potential benefit of developing activity day programs.  Although these discussions are just in the primary stage it was felt that a request is made to the scheduling committee that when creating a proposed schedule it be structured so as not to preclude the possibility of activity day schedule.

Next meeting of committee to be held January 31, 2008 in room 111 at 3:00pm.  Agenda: discussion of senior privileges.
