  • Old Business

 

    • Auto / Pre-tech proposal will be changed to Electrical I
    • Boston Museum of Science Curriculum
      • Miranda V. is currently using in her Concepts in Physics
      • Finished 3 units
        • Task book did not explain concepts
        • Necessary to supplement
      • Recommend for Tech program or elective not intro science class

 

·        Proposal for the expansion of the Human Services Program (Handout)

    • Would expand to infant/toddler CDA
    • 2 rooms attached to program not in use for 2 years except for storage
    • Need to remove some equipment (old graphics program)
      • Outdated equipment
        • Camera built into the wall
          • When should it be removed
          • Is it structurally possible
        • Attached darkroom with chemicals
          • Sheet rock the hole in the wall and use for storage?
      • Should sell equipment?
    • Paint room
    • Would need to hire a paraprofessional to expand the program
    • District receives money per child so possibly the incoming money would offset the cost of the paraprofessional
    • Curriculum committee supports

 

·        Electrical I Pre-proposal

    • Revise Pre-tech proposal
    • Instead of pre-tech, replace with Electrical Level I, Jr./Sr. year
    • Pre-tech is a holding program … doesn’t lead to anything
    • Would be Electrical Apprenticeship … lead to training for employment
    • Electrical Contractors might support because they wouldn’t have to pay for the 1st year apprenticeship
    • Talk to Jeff and submit previous proposal
    • Use same room
    • Use Perkins money for startup
    • Head of the WIB board thinks it is a good idea
