Winter Weather Has Arrived!

Winter has arrived and along with that comes adverse weather.

If adverse weather conditions cause school to be closed or delayed, an announcement will be made by 6:30 am on the following radio stations WSKI, WSNO/FRANK FM/FROGGY, WDEV, WNCS, WCVR, WWFY, WEZF as well as television stations WCAX and WPTZ. If it is later determined that road conditions will not be improving, an announcement will be made by 8:30 am declaring the cancellation of school.

If the opening of school is delayed…..many news organizations will only report a one or two hour delay. Regardless of what they say, we will be using the following schedule if we have a delayed start:

9:45 - 10:51 Block 1

10:56 -12:02 Block 2

12:07 - 1:37 Block 3

1st lunch = 12:07 - 12:30 2nd lunch = 12:30 - 12:53

3rd lunch = 12:53 – 1:16 4th lunch = 1:16 - 1:37

(Students in Tech Programs will have lunch during the 2^nd lunch so they can catch the sending school bus at 1:00 pm)

1:42-2:48 Block 4

NOTE: Morning Block & TA will not be held on these days

If school is cancelled…..afternoon and evening athletic events will be held as scheduled unless otherwise canceled later in the day due to inclement weather.

Parents make the final decisions whether to keep students at home if they believe weather conditions warrant. A parent note regarding this decision must be presented by the student the next school day in order for the student’s weather related absence to be recorded as excused.
