POLICY COMMITTEE

1.0 A Policy Committee shall be appointed by the chairperson
ofthe Board at the first regular meeting following the
organizational meeting of the Board. The chairperson
of the Board will name the committee chairperson.

2.0 The function of the Policy Committee is:

2.1 To insure the sequential order of policy
development is followed

2.2 To codify policy

2.3 To act as a medium for policy development when:

2.3.1 It is recognized that an issue or problem
requires a long-term solution.

2.3.2 It becomes apparent that the school system
has an ongoing need to be answered through a
new or revised program or way of functioning.

2.4 To review an employee appraisal program that will contribute to the continuous improvement of staff performance and to make a recommendation to the Board for action.
