CURRICULUM COMMITTEE

1.0 A Curriculum Committee shall be appointed by the chair person of the Board at the first regular meeting following the organizational meeting of the Board. The Board Chair will name the committee chairperson.

2.0 The function of the Curriculum Committee is:

2.1 To oversee a systematic, ongoing program of curriculum development and evaluation through mechanisms such as the action planning.

2.2 Endeavor to improve the quality of the instructional program and modify it to the changing needs of the community.

2.3 Review recommendations developed by the school curriculum committees and the professionals staff and evaluate the results.

2.4 Consider and recommend policies concerning curriculum related topics.

2.5 Submit curriculum proposals and recommendations for consideration and adoption of the Board.
