FINANCE COMMITTEE;

1.0 A Finance Committee shall be appointed by the chairperson of the Board at the first regular meeting following the organizational meeting of the Board. The Board Chair will name the committee chairperson.

2.0 The function of the Finance Committee is:

2.1 To provide direction regarding the school district budget and financial affairs which reflect the general philosophy and goals of the district and which provide a framework within which the school administration can operate.

2.2 To review the proposed annual budget as presented by the Superintendent and to make a recommendation to the Board for action.

2.3 To monitor the implementation of the budget.

2.4 To recommend policies and/or regulations governing district financial matters when needed.
