FOREIGN STUDENTS:
1.0 The Board recognizes the cultural benefits of foreign student programs and authorizes the principal to accept foreign students into the school on a tuition-free basis.
2.0 Guidelines for the acceptance of foreign students are:
2.1 The student will be at least fifteen years of age and will possess a reasonable facility of the English language.
2.2 Applications of students will be considered only when submitted through the auspices of an approved sponsoring organization or agency.
2.3 Students will be attending for a full academic year.
2.4 Applications will be screened by the principal to determine if there is an appropriate program available for the student.
2.5 Students will be considered for acceptance and enrolled on a space available basis, subject to size of class.
2.6 Students will be subject to all policies and regulations governing the conduct and behavior of resident students.
2.7 Students will maintain passing grades in all subjects as well as satisfactory discipline and attendance records.
2.8 Resident host families will verify they accept responsibility for the student and that they are serving as a volunteer host family without personal profit.
2.9 A transcript of the student's work will be sent to the school in his/her native country. Earned grades will not be included in the school class rank.
2.10 Up to four students may be accept each year.
